Breakfast. Departure for Sibari and visit its Archaeological area and its Museum. Then you move to Rossano, the most important Byzantine centre in Calabria. In the Diocesanus Museum it is possible to admire the Codex Purpureus. Stop at the Licorice Museum, owned by Amarelli family. Lunch in a local restaurant. Departure for Strongoli, visit a local wine bar and wine-tasting. Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for Santa Severina, one of the oldest and best preserved towns in Calabria and visit its old town, focusing on its Norman Castle and its Byzantine Monastery. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then you move to Capo Colonna where it is possible to admire the column belonging to the temple of Hera Lacinia. Transfer to Isola Capo Rizzuto, which hosts an impressive Aragon Castle in Le Castella. Departure for Catanzaro. Accommodation in the Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Walk throughout the Mediterranean Biodiversity Park in Catanzaro and visit the MUSMI (Historical Military Museum). In the afternoon transfer to Roccelletta di Borgia and visit its Archaeological Park in Scolacium. Departure for Squillace, visit the Norman Castle and the craft shops. Return to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for Stilo, a Byzantine old town, and visit the Cattolica. Then you move to Monasterace and visit the Archaeological Museum which hosts relics of the Antica Kaulon with its Archaeological Area, focusing on its mosaics, such as the well-known “Casa del Drago”. Accommodation in the Hotel on the Jasmine Coast. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Tour of Locri Epizephiri with the visit of the Archeological Area and the National Museum. Departure for Gerace, a Medieval town and visit the Cathedral, S. Francesco Church, which hosts a stunning polychrome Baroque altar. Return to the Hotel and lunch. In the afternoon departure for Mammola, a village where the time seems to stand still. Stop at Mu.sa.ba, amazing museum where many artists take part to exhibitions and cultural events. Walk along the old town where musicians sing and play folk music. Wine and pastry tasting. Return to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for Casignana and visit the Roman Villa discovered in 1963, which hosts many polychrome mosaics. The tour will continue in Reggio Calabria. Visit the National Archaeological Museum, which hosts the Riace Bronzes, and walk along the promenade, as known as “The most beautiful kilometer in Italy”. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon tour of Scilla, focusing on its old Fishermen District in Chianalea. Accommodation in the hotel in the area of Tropea. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for Capo Vaticano Belvedere. Tour of Tropea, one of the most suggestive towns in Calabria. Visit the Cathedral, the old town and stop at the “Affaccio”, that provides a breath-taking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Red onion tasting, excellent local product famous all over the world. Lunch in a local restaurant. Departure for Pizzo Calabro. Visit the Aragonese Castle and the Piedigrotta Church, which was built in tuff. Tartufo (a traditional ice cream) tasting.
