Continue to visit Trani with its Cathedral and the Castle built by Frederick II. Continuation to Castel Del Monte, also built by Frederick II. Transfer to Bari. Accommodation in Hotel. Visit the city of Bari whose historic center is gathered around the Basilica of St. Nicholas, protector of the city, and the Crypt, the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Swabian Castle. Stroll through the old town through the famous “Strada delle orecchiette”. Free lunch. Continuation to Monopoli. Along the way, stop in Polignano a mare, a beautiful town in the province of Bari. Arrival in Monopoli. Guided tour of the Castle built by Charles V and continue along the route of the ancient walls to the Co-cathedral of the Madonna della Madia. Departure for Alberobello. Continuation to visit the Castellana Caves, the most visited speleological tourist complex in Italy. Free lunch. Transfer to Ostuni, known as the “White City” throughout the world because of the characteristic whitewashed houses whitewashed among centuries-old olive groves and in front of one of the most beautiful seas of Italy. Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Lecce, the baroque pearl of Southern Italy, home of a historical and artistic heritage of different populations and cultures. Visit of the historical centre where you will be enchanted by the renowned Lecce stone. You will admire: Piazza Sant’Oronzo with its famous obelisk, the San Matteo’s Church, the Church of the Rosary, the Church of Santa Croce, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Villa Comunale surrounded by splendid Baroque palaces. Free lunch. In the afternoon, departure for Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy. The city is famous for the massacre of Otranto by the Turks in 1480.
