A delicious itinerary discovering Calabrese flavors, tasting local products and wines

Arrival on the Jasmine Coast. Accommodation in the Hotel. Welcome Cocktail. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure for Tropea, one of the most suggestive town in Calabria. Visit the Cathedral, the old town and stop at the “Affaccio”, that provides a breath-taking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Here you can taste the red onion, famous all over the world. Lunch in a local restaurant. Departure for Pizzo Calabro. Visit the Aragonese Castle and Piedigrotta Church, which was built in tuff. Tartufo-tasting (a traditional ice-cream). Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure for Ciminà, a small Medieval town where there is a cheese factory that produces “Caciocavallo”, “Slow Food” Award-winning. Cheese tasting. Visit a farmhouse with its citrus trees, olive trees, walnuts, prickle pear trees, vineyards, fruit trees, rose gardens, vegetable gardens and cereal plantations. The company also owns a piggery, where pigs are used to produce local cured meats. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon tour of Locri Epizephiri, visit the Archeological Area and the National Museum. Departure for Gerace, a Medieval town and visit the Cathedral, the Church of S. Francesco and a textile atelier. Granita tasting, excellent local product.  Return to  Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure for Reggio Calabria and visit the National Archaeological Museum which hosts Riace Bronzes. Walk along the promenade, as known as “The most beautiful kilometer in Italy”. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, on the way back,  stop in Bianco. Visit a winery company where “Vino Greco”, excellent local wine, is produced  and pastry tasting. The company has a two-hectare vineyard. Return to Hotel. Dinner with folk show. Overnight.

Breakfast. Departure for Mammola, a village where the time seems to stand still. Stop at the Museum of S. Barbara, where many artists take part to exhibitions and cultural events. Walk along the old town where the time seems to have stopped. Visit a cod farm. Lunch in a local restaurant where cod fish is cooked in many ways. In the afternoon tour of Siderno Superiore and visit the X Century old town. Musicians play folk music through the narrow streets.  Wine and pastry tasting. Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure for Serra San Bruno and visit the external part of Certosa, the Museum and the marvelous park. Lunch in a farmhouse. Transfer to Stilo and visit the Cattolica, a Byzantine jewel Visit a Bergamotto plantation and spirit-tasting. Return to Hotel. Farewell dinner where ladies will receive a souvenir. Overnight.
